Cobwebs

Translucent shapes deposited on the windows
deadly traps, sticky, binding.
Death awaits the unwary fly.
Are they trained when young, to avoid them;
are they taught the hazards of life
or do they gaily fly on the wings of Icarus?
Do they see the webs, are they curious
Does curiosity kill the fly?
Or are they translucent to their eyes
and so they die
